1 paragraph blog post (4-5 sentences/more if you really, really want): What is your favorite dystopian book? Why is it your favorite? If you haven't read a dystopian book, tell me what your favorite genre (type of book) is and why.
I have read a dystopian book called The Giver, but I did not enjoy that book. So I will tell you about my favorite genre. I really like sports book because, I can make connections to them. Also, I enjoy reading sports book because they usually have a lot of action. This is why my favorite genre is sports.
Have you read any Mike Lupica books? I have read many and I think that you might like them a lot. He writes about football,baseball, basketball and he wrote a book called Hero that is an action book that revolves around sports.
I thought that the Giver was a pretty good book, but I can understand why people wouldn't like it. I've only read one sports book before, but I want to try reading more of them.
My favorite dystopian book is, yes, you guessed it, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is my favorite dystopian book because, I love how Katniss grows as a person, and the trials and tribulations she went through. I especially love how she stayed strong, and didn’t give up in the end. Though, I don’t like the idea of making kids fight to the death, I do love the words she uses, the different sentence structures, and so much more. It made reading fun for me, and it really felt like I was in their world.
I really love the Hunger Games series, I love the wording of the book and everything about it. I agree with you when you say she stayed strong through the whole series.

Yes, the violence was a bit much at times, but I loved this book as well. I know it was an early entry and set off this whole trend, but I believe if it wasn't so strong, we wouldn't have so many others.
My favorite dystopian book series is the Divergent series. I really like the author's word choice (when an Erudite is talking) and I like the complexity of the plot line. My favorite book in the series is Allegiant. I like this book because the author, Veronica Roth, does a nice job of tying the loose ends together. I hate it when an author waits too long to tie everything together and the last five chapters are major event after event after event. Veronica Roth really spreads everything out so when the most important event happens, the reader is surprised because there has not been another major event in ten chapters or so.
I love how you talked about how she spread everything out, that's something that a lot of people would've looked that over. I also like how you mentioned your favorite book from the series, that give the person who's reading your paragraph, something to look forward to when reading the series.
Since I have never read a dystopian book I will tell you, the reader, what my favorite genre is. If you don’t know, my absolute favorite genres are fantasy, action, and adventure. These genres are my favorite because they are not about someone who has a regular boring life. The main character has an interesting life with action, danger, the supernatural, and so much more! I read these books because they are an escape from my boredom/boring life.
I can't say I don't like a dystopian book now and then but my favorite genre has always adult books. A lot of the books I read are from this genre. I always like these books because a lot of times I can relate to the main character. I also like books with action. Books that keep you on the edge of your seat. I like being independent and reading adult books and action not only because it makes me happy but gives me a sense of independence and maturity.

My favorite dystopian novel series is The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. I thoroughly enjoyed the series as it was never boring and it always kept me hooked. I loved watching Katniss and Peeta's relationship grow and change as they fought were in the arena and out. Books with action and high stakes always keep me hooked because I just can't put them down. Another reason I enjoyed The Hunger Games series is because each character had an important impact on the stories. The word choice in the books is extremely good and it really adds to the plot's intensity. Those are some reason I love The Hunger Games series so much!
I have read some dystopian novels, but those books aren’t, in my opinion, as good as the books in my favorite my favorite genre. I really love fantasy because it transports me into a magical world. Fantasy novels usually include action and mystical creatures, both of which I love! This genre gets me at the edge of my seat, and never makes me frustrated or confused. I would like to read more dystopian novels, but right now, fantasy is my favorite.
My favorite book genre is young adult fiction. I like this genre because some times reading dystopian books can get a bit strange. I like to read YA fiction because I can relate to the books and the storyline. I like the simplicity of the stories in fiction. They pull me in right away.
The only dystopian books I've ever read was the Hunger games and The Giver. They were good for the most part, and they both always kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more. The main plot line for both of the dystopian books were mostly the same, and both of the main characters mainly had the same goal. Both of there communities were overrun by a group/person evil. I did like how The Giver left you on a cliff hanger by not completely solving there constricted community. In the dystopian books there is normally some type of plot twist too, which I do like. Overall, I'd prefer diffrent types of books beside dystopian.

In all of the books, the author, Louis Lowry, does a very good job of putting the reader in the main characters shoes. The book is kind of realistic, but has some unrealistic powers. I think that this is a very good book and I would recommend this book.
My favorite dystopian novel is The 5th Wave. It is about an alien apocalypse, and how the aliens have five waves of terror to take out the humans. The book had the perspective of all of the characters, so sometimes one character would know something that the other didn’t, and I really wanted to tell them what it was, but, of course, I couldn’t. It’s also really interesting to know how the aliens think, and how they’re not just trying to kill off the human race, but they’re trying to do it very personally. There’s a lot of hope, anticipation, and war. It also makes you think about what you do if this ever actually happened.

I can't choose a favorite singular novel but my favorite series is the Uglies series. The series is about a place in 300 years, in a society where until the age of 16, people are known as "Uglies". Once an Ugly turns 16, they undergo an operation, turning them into a "Pretty", a beautifully symmetrical being with full lips, big eyes, perfect figure, everybody the same. Most think of this as a good thing, something to look forward to, finally moving out of Uglyville, like Tally Youngblood, a teenage girl about to turn 16. While waiting for her birthday to come, Tally meets another Ugly, Shay, who, unlike Tally, doesn't want to become a Pretty and who has outside contact with a rebellious group called The Smoke. Shay then runs away to join them, without Tally, but leaves behind a note with clues of the whereabouts of the Smoke's location, in case she changes her mind. Tally promises to never tell anybody where they reside and continues to look forward for the operation. I like this series the most because I enjoyed the word choice the author used as well as I liked the character description that they used. I also liked how the author included things that had to do with political views because I think it adds to the story.
I really loved the concept in Uglies. I got frustrated, though, when I read Pretties. If the author talked about characters being bubbly and used that word one more time, I was going to scream!

I really enjoy these books because they have so much action and plot twists that keep me on the edge of my seat. They have such good storylines and it makes me feel as if I am in the story itself. I really enjoy reading these stories because One of my favorite genres are dystopian books and I hope I can read more.
